Join photographer Jim Dow and Dr. April Watson, Senior Curator of Photography at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, for a talk that focuses on the exhibition "Signs: Photographs by Jim Dow." During his first decade as a young photographer-between 1967 and 1997-Dow drove along old U.S. highways on numerous cross-country road trips, focusing his large format camera on time-worn signage extracted from billboards, diners, gas stations, drive-in theaters, and other small businesses.
